Foraging and Eco dyes workshop

Learn how to create beautiful prints from the plants in your back garden…

Do you have an appreciation for the natural world?

Then be part of the Louise Claire Textiles Eco Workshop this Summer and Autumn! Explore the possibilities of plant colour with us this Autumn.

Rich hues of red and orange will be created from the humble onion skin, whilst blackberries will provide us with fragrant fabrics in lilac and mauve.

Pleat, stitch, tie and crumple as we guide you through pattern-making, and delight in the instant results of printing with petals.

We will treat you to homemade cake and refreshments throughout the afternoon. (If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know.)

As an optional extra we offer Australian Bush Flower Creative Essence, a natural floral remedy which can help to clear creative blocks.

You will come away with a series of fabric swatches from the day’s project.

And if that’s not enough, each person will receive their own Louise Claire Textiles ‘Guide to’ Eco Dyes.

So book now; take time out to be in picturesque Hampton-In-Arden for an afternoon of enjoyment and enlightenment.

note: This workshop will include a short walk to collect berries and other hedgerow plants to dye fabrics (optional).
