Children’s Creative art workshop
Card making with Louise Claire, textile designer & Illustrator BA, MA, Cert Ed CRB.
Tuesday 26th October 2010 1.30pm-3.30pm £5 per child Ages 7-12yrs
*Soft drinks and biscuits provided
*All materials included, please bring an apron or old shirt. Each child will have drawing sheets to colour or paint on, these are designed by Louise, they are of decorative buildings with plenty of patterns to colour in and create magical castles. Glitter, sequins, stars and more can be added and Louise will show them how. Examples are provided. Following this, there will be a number of card making tasks, children can team up if they wish or move on to another task, there are no set rules, just play.

Designer Christmas
Learn to make your own christmas decorations, bunting, scented decorations or gifts and even the last minute special christmas card or gift tag. Louise Claire will provide all the materials for these tasks.

Artist Talk: Solihull Arts Society
Louise Claire will give a talk about her current work ‘Turrets and Towers’ as well as previous work and commissions.
Based on the talk ‘From Architecture to Fabric’ Louise will provide a wide range of work highlighting various sources of inspiration that begin as illustrations and then silk screen printed onto satin and velvet fabrics for unique scarves, lavender bags and framed textile art work.
Louise will be at the Solihull Arts Society on the 7th February 2011 Time: 7.30pm – 9.30pm
